Carmel Valley Coffee Roasting Company (CVCRC) was established in 1994 with a specific focus in mind: To provide superior handcrafted coffee, using the finest Arabica beans, delivered very fresh to discerning customers. We’re proud to be the only Certified Organic coffee roasting company on the Monterey Peninsula and are certified organic by the CCOF: California Certified Organic Farmers. We buy organic and roast in accordance with the USDA and CCOF regulations. We take great care to roast each bean to its full potential through sight, sound and smell.
CVCRC operates seven coffeehouses on the Monterey Peninsula. Our visitors can order their favorite beans from our online store to prolong their Carmel experience with every delicious sip. We also deliver fresh roasted coffee to wholesale accounts such as restaurants, inns, hotels. coffeehouses, markets and corporate businesses throughout the United States.
After selecting the finest Arabica coffee, Roast Master Tina Muia and her staff, slow roast the beans in one of two 25-pound San Franciscan batch roasters. This combination radiant/convection roaster produces the perfect roast by providing constant feedback on the sight, sound and smell of the bean while it is developing. All of our beans are roasted before blending and distributed within 48 hours of roasting to guarantee freshness and the highest quality product.
